There was me, the happiest man in England (not a bad feat considering I was a 'sweaty sock' abroad) just picked up one of the machines of my dreams (a perfect 1989 851 Strada with 7k on the clock) from Bishopsthorpe, just south of York. Loaded her onto my trailer and started the loooooooong drag home to Edinburgh (trailers are great fun
). It was around 10PM, weather good and traffic light, I was entering a roundabout, look - nothing to my right - on I go, then whoosh! A silver Skyline flashes past from the left, past the front of me onto the roundabout at well over a ton I reckon!! I think "Phew that was close" and glare down the road towards the right, the direction he is now disappearing in, just as I think " what a wan :jerkoff:..........." out the corner of my eye to the left I glimpse a flash of white then just as I'm turning to see what it is I hear a 'scrtch, scrtch, scrtch - (ABS see)' of tyres and look round to see another Skyline, white this time, heading straight at me, out of control and moving at serious velocity. I make a split second decision and mount the roundabout central 'mound' to avoid the tosser, my truck, a Mitsi' Shogun has no problem with the high kerb but my poor wee trailer bounces high in the air and breaks two tie-down straps which causes my newly aquired pride 'n joy to fall onto one side and damage it's once pristine fairing. After the dust settled and I had gathered my thoughts I jump out of the truck, raging and ready for 'action', just in time to see the white Skyline reverse off the roundabout grass (he had mounted it as well), then the driver grins, 'beeps' the horn twice, all three occupants wave at me and f*ck off after the first Skyline shouting abuse at me while I'm still standing in the middle of the roundabout.
That, my friends, is why I now hate Nissan Skylines and the w*nks that drive them:jerkoff:
