A bit quiet at work today so I've planned my route there and back using 'Green Flag' routemaster. 1150 miles. Got the paper route laminated and if it's quiet tomorrow I might try putting it in the Tom Tom.

You going on your own Winston? Or with DOC or is this just a wishlist?

Any chance you could pass your route along to us?

Sorry spoke too soon. I'm well busy now so haven't been on this site for a good few days. I'm ferrying to Ostende and going via. Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland and then in to Italy. I'm thinking of stopping the night of 25th June around Ramsgate ready for the 7:00am ferry 26th June. Arriving in Ostende at noon their time travel 400 odd miles. Sleep overnight somewhere in France and then do the remaining 400 odd miles on the 27th June arriving at Misano around 5-00pm. Set off back 2nd July same route in reverse. I have asked Jane at Ducati Leeds to put me on their hotel list whilst over there. They are having their bikes taken over by lorry and flying to meet them which saves time and probably money but I want an adventure. It's 78 quid for the ferry for bike and two people.

All you need to do is get a map out and look up THIS site and you can plan your own route :)

but the alps is only about 200 miles out of a 1000 mile journey.... the hard bit is getting through Belgium, France or Germany then a decent way through Italy but i usually end up on motorway there :(
