Nope. Heads have to come off. Ducati techs have a special nylon block to lay the heads onto so the valves won’t get damaged when the closing shims are hammered off the valve stems. They’re 6mm valve stems and have tapered collets same as on the R engines, the only way to get them off is to position a small punch on top of the closing shim and whack it downwards with a hammer 😮.

Ah yes, I recall that was another reason not to buy such a machine - even it's dashing good looks couldn't get past that foible :oops:

Dunno why the twats padlocked it, the sheer powaaah of the bike frightens most off. The black panel, why if your getting a new one from italy, wouldn't you get a red one and why is it attached with black tape?? That side panel has the battery behind it and the fixings on just that panel are made of chocolate which is why you see plenty of the other side panels for sale but very few left panels without panel clip damage. Being an outside bike, it looks very scabby and only half a step away from being a "project"
