What have you done on your bike today?

Just a thought and maybe easy to check and or rectify, but does it have a quick action throttle fitted? Sounds like you need a more progressive action. Also, and sorry about going on but, has it got a heavy throttle spring or a gunged up cable? My Darmah had that when I first bought it and it was a pig to ride in town. I stupidly persevered with it for an embarrassingly long time until my mate suggested I put some WD40 in the cable. Different ride entirely…
Don’t lubricate cables with WD40, it may work in the short term but the WD will attack the plastic lining of the cable causing it to swell and make the problem worse.

Quite right.

Graphite grease (or graphite powder, what'll they think of next?) is best.

I remember that from back when I had clutches operated by cables rather than hydraulics.

Oh. The G310 has a cabled clutch. Meh. Bollocks.

I need more time on it but i'll get there, i have to much Mechanical sympathy so not to keen on slipping the clutch. Aggresive as in as soon as you go to pull away it just wants to throw you off the back, i'll get there once we have some decent weather!! My 996 was like it but not as mental as the Harley, looking at it today i realised how massive the heads are!! So thinking about the size of each piston is pretty big and just it's nature i guess. 🤷‍♂️

Funny you say this but that is going to be my next job as i did notice along with no play in the clutch cable(sorted) there seems to be none on the throttle!! I wil get into to it and adjust accordingly, cheers mate.(y)

We used to say that EBC stood for’Extra Bloody Crap’, but that’s not really based on anything. I’m sure they’ll be adequate. I remember setting off for Russia with new EBC brake pads in and sailed through the first red light I got to.

I think the only time I’ve had some brake pads that I’ve thought “wow”, were some Carbone Lorraine pads on my 1260.

I used to have EBC sintered on my 650 Bandit, great pads and never any issues!! If you put EBC pads on the rear of lets say my old 996 you wouldn't notice, the rear brake is shit!!:ROFLMAO:

I’ve not used a back brake since I passed my test.
I bought a Honda that had linked brakes and hated it so took it back two weeks later and swapped it for the same model that didn’t have linked brakes.
Was it a VFR 800?

Got out for his first spin with my son this evening.. its bitterly cold and damp but felt sorry for him sitting in the garage on his bike making broom broom noises ... he was beaming. It brought back memories of my first spin as a teenager granted its very different now but he's buzzing for more 👌

I nearly bought a VFR800 Vtec that has the duel breaking system. You can bypass it and i have heard people getting huge miles on them, great for touring!! 🤷‍♂️
Yes the original VFR’s were great bikes. Linked brakes were dangerous in my opinion, I hated the bike sitting down flat when you braked as I like the front to dive and feel the grip available.

That's what it's all about, the feel means everything especially in the wet and at times in the dry!! I agree the dual system is a silly idea but some people out there like it. A novelty imo like curved led TVs and touch screen bollox all blown into the weeds. :)
