I agree, I can’t believe they’re still doing this, knocking up to 20% off some in the range. They must be stuck in a situation these days where no-one buys anything during the year, knowing they’ll just be able to buy out several thousand cheaper at year end, which means KTM don’t sell their production, get massively overstocked with unsold bikes and have to discount at year end to c shift stuff - crazyMust be in the 4th quarter of the year if there are unbelievable discounts from KTM![]()
Thats a peculiarly American thing. You don’t see that here in Europe at all (or RoW afaik). I guess it started decades ago when someone was importing bikes direct from a factory and had to then ship it several thousand miles across the states to a customer, but these days, with distribution networks being under the control of the manufacturer plus the slicker distribution systems we have it’s probably just a way for a dealer to add a bit more margin on the sale.That covers the made up processing fee they charge you for fuck all.![]()
