Can anyone recommend a cost effective off-the-shelf wheel alignment tool?
It's for my KTM 1190. Now the Diavel has gone the 1190 will be back on the road in the spring. It needs a chain and sprocket set and getting the wheel alignment has always been tricky on this bike as the marks on the tensioner blocks and swinging arm are nowhere near accurate.
It eats chains and sprockets at the best of times as the chain run is a long one and the suspension is long travel. If it isn't spot-on the ride is weird and choppy and the chain won't last five minutes
Previously I used a pair of long straight edges clamped to the rear wheel and simply measured with a rule. But it was a rigmarole and I haven't the garage space to faff about like that now.
Don't want to spend big money on a semi-pro set-up like the Sealey. Are the budget gadgets like the Lazer Monkey any good? Or what are the alternatives?
