Finally got to have a proper look round my 65th birthday present to myself which has been tucked away in between a load of other bikes at work since I bought it a couple of months ago. Needs a little bit of a clean and polish and a clutch cover gasket replacing then firing up after not doing anything for the last 7 or 8 years.
A proper bike
I made an adjustable exhaust and a few different length reverse cones when we were MZ racing.
Had a day on a dyno trying different cones at different distances, was good fun.
I'd only just noticed how advanced it was for its age, a factory gear position in the middle of the dash
I had a 76 P reg GT380 with a fully working gear indicator, was very helpful back in the day.
Aye, my GT had the old digital watch style red LED, my 1980 GS550ET if I remember, had, 1N23456 with neutral green then the figures backlit at each gear change.

all new Gen yam Fuel pipe,
New tyres New bearings and seals all round. frame blasted and painted .
full engine rebuild fitted with Zeel ignition box nice sounding spanneys fitted .
Carbs all sent to allons who cleaned and replaced inners.
New gen yam top faring new screen New gen yam belly pan .
new paint and fitted with very expensive £200 decals with proper metallic stripes as argininal.
New brake pads New C&S .
New grips gen yam new bar ends
New levers New mirrors
New Expensive Gen Yam mas cyl but with the original top restord and put back on so it looks as it should .
the list is endless. its more of a show bike then a rider its just to good to take out but that wont stop me putting my RZV 500 plate on it next good day and taking it for a short spin at least.
Im asking 18K ONO its good money but you simply won't fined one as good any were. Ive taken a load of close ups to show the level of the build. currently in my mums dining room LOL so could do with it sold .."
