Elsie has never had a centre stand, ever since I bought her. People used to bin them and cut rear mud guards and number plate holders. These are the things that cost a fortune now.

It's always been a source of mild irritation that it was missing and also that it's handy for chain maintenance etc (I have to use a paddock stand which is fiddly to fit). Standard ones go for over £300 and are a bit weak. I refused to pay the price, but saw somebody was fabricating strengthened ones from scratch on eBay last week, so took the plunge.

Arrived today, along with C hook and spring from Yambits and looks the biz.
