And me. The main reason I got The Panzer was to tour Scotland plus pop to Peterhead as that’s where my Nan was born.
Never happened sadly for one reason or another.
As I age my back is getting worse, I doubt I could ride that far now. Could always chuck a bike in the van and drive up I suppose. Find a base and do daily ride outs.

Peterhead best done on the A90 at 60 mph :ROFLMAO:

To be fair, Peterhead prison museum would be worth a visit, they currently film 'Screw' there and you can hear the stories of the riots and SAS involvement back in the day (y)

Cruden Bay just to the south has a nice long beach and the ruins of Slains Castle which is said to have inspired Bram Stoker's Dracula.

Further south again is Newburgh with sand dunes and seals to look at, if that's your thang.

They have been trying to plug the NE 250 road trip but I'm not sure it's that popular, loads of good biking roads around the whole NE Scotchland so the route isn't the best way to go.

Do it and put up with the pain, the more you ride the better your body copes with it. I like to think of it as weight lifting, the more you do it the stronger your body gets. I was off the road for two months and the first ride on the 996 was as if i was a new rider and i nearly dropped it trying to pull away in second gear!! I have a Hospital visit at 10am today then i'm off for a ride out somewhere as the weather is looking great for the next week, don't care about the amount of miles i put on the 996 i'm just going to enjoy it for now!!🏍️:)
