Thread 'Ducati 1098R - For Sale'

I think it may be time to let my 1098R go to a new home. It's far from standard although I have most of the standard parts. I'd like it to go as is, as I just haven't got time to return to standard and if I keep it, I'd have to put it back to the way it is.

The bike was one of the bikes pre-registered by Ducati UK to race in BSB. It was sold to the 1st owner in Jersey by Pro Twins who used it as his track day bike and spent a pretty penny on it. I bought it from him and registered it back in the UK on the original registration. Therefore it shows as one previous owner to myself, which is...

I just had a look. 3 years after saying I'd sell it. I've done zero with it and it's still here. I'm obviously genuinely not fussed, as time has proven. 😇

I posted this one in April where it was listed as a 1098RS and it was going to auction with a suggested price of £34,000


It didn't sell so has been relisted with a lower price of £29,000


I noticed this one today, again claiming to be a 1098 RS and going to an auction with a suggested price of £9,500


It doesn't look like it is an RS but a 1098 with just engine work and carbon wheels

The Malossi barrel and cylinder head have been lost by APC. They were supposed to be here next day (last Tuesday) and they have had to order them again from Italy. Maybe next Monday now.

The rest of my parts ordered from SIP in Germany, are currently sitting in UK customs, while they work out how much to extort from me.

After someone crashed into my car today, I'm just trying to chill and not get worked up about anything right now. 😇
