It’s been withdrawn now so it’s an academic discussion, but it may have been an SPS. My ‘99 748 has a miles only speedo so the one on this bike looks ok to me. The disks appear to be cast iron as well which is an SPS feature iirc. Perhaps he didn’t know what he had, got inundated with enquiries and pulled it after 1 day to do some research prior to relisting

There was a bit of a hoo-ha in late 90's about some ducatis having mph only speedos (my '96 monster included) magazines saying MOT failure and ducati having to recall and replace blah blah but in the ebd nothing happened, I think ducati had euro and US apec speedos and the UK was an anomaly to them so US spec mph speedo it was. I do believe all the bikes had the speedo changed by the importer pre 2000. There were 3 importers into the UK iirc who then sold the bikes through a chain of independents, the bikes having come from Bologna (or Varese) with Kmh speedos, this was all pre the current Ducati controlled brand image days.
