Hearing that one running has made me determined to get 666 on the road this year, I think I said that last year though.
There’s always something else that needs paying for unfortunately.
Aye lad, always something.
Have you had the first annual service done on the SDR yet? If so how much, iffn ye don't mind me asking, service for big Sonja is due April so need to budget

There was a valid reason for the change plus it only cost me a bag. The beauty of the GS is they hold their value a lot better than most other bikes.
Now KTM is in trouble I dread to think what my SDR is worth!
Aye mate, I have thought about that myself. I then thought, fuck it, It's an incredible machine which I'll be keeping at least another 3+years as I got the 4 year warranty in the deal.

You’ll fix that in a jiffy👍

I’d wager it’s electrical. That sounds like a hard stop as if the ignition has been cut.
IMO it could be an easy fix, i have read a lot of posts on the 1098 and they can be very temperamental at times.

I got the 4 year warranty as well, as you say they are cracking bikes.
I saw a deal advertised the other day for a brand new unregistered SDR1290 Evo for £12999 with the 4 year warranty. I don’t recall who that was with.

Is the warranty void if the company goes bust?

Well you owe me a set of cans then!!
PM me and I'll send em cocker, (y)

On the picture with the frame sticker, the very first entry just curling around the frame seems to show 916S

From the internet:

I think they all had S in the frame number in 1994 for 'Strada' (street) - only mono's produced in the moped factory

Ducati produced in 1994 the 916 Monoposto (1461 units ) and a 916 S Monoposto ( 199 units ) in 1994

And an answer from Ducati:

I have an early 916 and when I asked the very helpful people at Ducati for some identification they told me :

"following our phone conversation, we would inform you that the bike whose VIN is ZDM916S*001xxx* - as you pointed out - is properly identified as a 916 MONOPOSTO Model Year 1994. This bike was one of the first model built in Varese"
