Oh so many haters.
About 10 mins before I climbed into my EV on this -4 morning, I flicked a button on my phone. Left the house to a lovely warm car, fully defrosted.
Arrived at work, plugged it in & will charge it for free; leccy isn’t fuel you see.

BMW have had the preheat feature for prob 15 years.

Admittedly I live in a small village of around 300 people so quite possibly not representative of the sophisticated urbanites that now make up the majority of the population but has anyone ever seen a group of people like that whilst out and about ?

I see some sights in Lancaster, but nothing like that, no.

This is fucking weird

Jaguar goes woke: Fury as car brand scraps its famous logo, goes electric-only and introduces chic ad campaign and says it's prepared to lose 85% of traditional customers

As the firm revealed the new look yesterday, it knew it was set for a backlash. Car fans have reacted angrily to a rebrand that they say lacks claws - branding it 'woke' and 'unhinged'.

In return, the firm has responded in kind with replies ranging from the cryptic to downright saccharine, suggesting it simply doesn't care.

Fucking idiots - just have to see what othe manufacturers are doing with their EV ranges. And their own - 5yo I-Paces with average mileages at 20% their new values.

I liked Jaguar, but I hope they go bust.

Couldn`t agree more. Have you ever heard of a company that wants to lose 85% of it`s customer base ? Insane.

I wonder if Jaguar have realised they will never meet the percentage of sales that must be ev's or face fines, so have effectively put themselves in hibernation for two years.

My brother has a Jag XF 3.0 twin turbo diesel Portfolio. He does a lot of miles and regards this as one of jaguars best cars in decades but nothing created since attracts him in the Jag range.

My own theory, JLR want's to shelve Jaguar and are using this "refresh" as a method to do so.

Judging by the models in the advert when relaunched the brand will be called Androgyny

That's not ULEZ, is it?

Other half has had a tesla model y for 18 months now. Has been useful so far and does what we need it to do, school runs and shopping, can even watch Netflix while we wait for the kids when they are in an after school activity. Took it to the alps last year, a fair few stops each way but did the job a ok. Stiff suspension - dog gets bounced about a bit and isn’t a fan. Got it on a pcp as wasn’t sure how well would hold its value. Be interesting to see in 18 months. With this cold snap if it does catch on fire, then now’s the time.

To contrast, my 9 year old c class that I love, has just had the ad blue light come on. Filled up and the light remains on. Will only allow me to drive about 200miles before it will refuse to start. Local merc specialist says it will likely need a new tank, pump and sensors. £1500. Or £350 for delete which reading up on other forums may or may not screw up DPF. 65k miles has had new turbo and water pump also. Bloody car!!! 🤣🤣🤣
