Buying a new vehicle and then requesting a part ex price from a dealer just 6 months later is pretty much guaranteed to result in a big chunk of depreciation. Hardly a shock.

Yes, but that's 25-30% in 6 months...virtually all because it's leccy.

And the vat . Plus the dealer has to buy it cheap enough to make a profit on the resale while being far enough below the price of a new one to make it saleable.
If i was to write a list of ways to lose lots of money in a short space if time on vehicles that would be quite near the top.

Ditto for any leccy car.

A 5 year old Caravelle with 40,000 miles would've lost about the same percentage wise.
 
A local sparky bought an electric tranny (steady, not all sparkies are the same 🤣)

Brand new from the dealer for £26k as nobody wants them, he said a diesel would have been over £40k 🙄
