Electric Vehicle Stuff

Im trying to think what the benefits of a driverless car would be.
If you owned one i guess you coukd do other stuff while traveling, watch a movie, sex in the back seat etc, although personally i like driving and hate being a passenger let alone one in a car with no one at the wheel.
Do they even have steering wheels?
In a cab the only upside i can see is ya dont have to listen to bangla music and talk to someone who speakes broken english and smells of rotten curry.
Down side is the loss of yet more jobs ( albeit those of stinky people) and more money going to large corporations. I doubt these cabs will take cash. More entrusting our lives to machines except in this case possibly more literally.
if you get cut up by one of these vehicals who ya gunna abuse, threaten and possibly punch in the face when you catch up with em at the next set of lights or on their driveway after you follow em home? The passenger? I guess youd have to...
Ya think taxi fares will go down to reflect the fact there is no driver or up because the tech costs so much? Probably be cheaper to begin with till all drivers are out of business then through the roof so only the rich can use em.
i guess we will still have illegall mini cabs then. Unless the cops all of a sudden start policing those. But why would they do that...
Nice italics 🤔

They made some decent efforts in the 90s and early 2000s but just been horrible - IMHO - and getting worse ever since

Yes, the last ten years with stupidly big front grills, and odd design elements that make cars look like it's 3 cars made into 1

What happened to 'style' and 'class'?

BBC put this out where a tfl bus went into a house in London this morning.

What they forgot to mention was

"EV owners without driveways are set to be stung with double taxation from 2028 - a pay-per-mile electric car road tax and a public charging VAT tax, which threatens Britain's EV transition."

Double tax trap could hit EV owners reliant on public charging

He took an EV for a 2000+ mile European trip - says the cost for electric was getting on for half the UK cost (some of the comments say even less if off the motorway systems.
But they're paying c. €2 a litre for petrol

Quite a boring video from what I saw of it.

No interest in electric cars.

Get over 500 mile on tank of diesel.

Remember when we were told diesel is the way to go. then the tax etc. went up.
so now they can....
