Monster 600 Dash Cluster

Hi

I posted a little while ago about my 2001 Monster 600 that wasn't running, for those that were asking I think I've found the issue, the ignition switch was getting 12V going into the feed plug however something was creating resistance because the corresponding contact on the other side was only getting 9V, tired cleaning the contacts but apparently it could be inside the switch itself so I've decided to just replace the entire thing, will find out for sure in about a week when the part arrives.

Anyway I had a question about the cluster for the 600, I've seen there is a different style dash from I believe the 750 model, that has a tachometer, I generally prefer the style of this one over the OEM one on the 600, I was just wondering if anyone knew if it would just be a case of "plug and play" with minimal messing around or if it's a much bigger job, also if anyone knows a company in the UK that can change the mileage on that dash to match the milage that my bike is on, not sure if that's a thing or not just thought I would ask

Thanks!

The upgrade is possible and you may be lucky with the wiring loom. The sticking point is the odometer as it is analogue.

There are loads of modern, nice looking GPS Speedometers/Tachometers out there. You may wish to put your time and effort into upgrading the dash to modern tech.
