Hi, I’ve just joined this forum. I’ve had my 748R for around 11 or 12 years but only just joined. Unfortunately the Ducati has been sitting in the back of my garage for the last couple of years while I’ve been busy doing other bike stuff among other things. Most recently pre 65 and twin shock trials.
As I’m about to have one of those milestone birthdays I’ve decided to put the Ducati back on the road. I put a new battery on the Ducati the other day and the bike fired up and ticked over really nicely considering it’s been stood for well over a year. Over the next few weeks. I’ve got some new timing belts that’ll be fitted, an oil and filter change to do and a new MOT and it’ll be back on the road. Here’s a couple of photos of the bike including me riding it.
Cheers, David

Thanks all for the welcome. I was going to give a thumbs up reaction to all the replies on here but I can’t seem to find how to do it. I’m probably just being a bit thick and missing something somewhere. Anyway, thanks all for the welcome.
I’ll also be changing the air filters on the bike too. I whipped them out of the air tubes yesterday and they’re in pretty poor condition. The foam in the right hand one had all but completely disintegrated so I’ll need to get a couple of new ones on order.
Edit to add. I was being thick I’ve just found a thread that says you need to be a subscriber to add reactions. I’ll just have to subscribe.

Thanks, that’s a very generous offer. I can see form your profile you’re in London. I’m the other end of the M4 in South Wales so it might be a bit far to go for some air filters. I can see Ducati Mondo have some (without the plastic cages) for £9 plus postage so I’ll probably end up getting those. Cheers anyway.👍
