The new Transit Custom

Stick with the VDub, worth loads more than a Tranny too when you come to sell them !

I've had lots of both over the years and the Transit Custom is the best for me. The VW transporter drives like a van but the Ford Custom drives like a car.
I will change mine probably later this year and go back to an auto.

My mate has just bought a VW Sportline 204 with the DSG, integrated satnav, LED headlights etc. Very nice.
The only thing I’d say regarding the Ford v VW is the Transporter ages better. Definitely built better.
If I ever replace mine DSG and the LED lights are a must have.
My lights are awful, maybe it’s age though.

Don't get me wrong if the right deal came up for a Transporter I'd still have one.

Unfortunately they are very overpriced.
My mates is a 2017 with 41K in black, £27000 with no VAT. It’s a panel van whereas mine is the Kombi.

That's the exact model I had when they first came out.. I won't entertain a manual van after that and I don't keep my van after 4 years as my mileage gets too high.. I still loved my transporter it's just nowhere as comfortable as my transit and for me that's more important as I more or less spend 8 hours a day in it .. Like everything it's strokes for folks 👌

In Ireland mine was a kombi I paid 8700 euro extra in taxes for the back row of seats as it attracts more VRT... 54000 12 or so years ago 🤷‍♂️

Mine’s the T32 and is as hard as a rock suspension wise but it can carry a tonne which is handy for my logs.

I bought mine new in 2017, £31000 all in.They gave me £9000 approximately for my T5.
I initially did look at a Transit but the rear seats didn’t come out plus VW offered me a better trade in.
I love the old girl.

My wife drives a sportline caddy... she loves it.
Plus all the expenses can be written off against tax..... sorry agent Alan.
 
Bought a new van today the bigger transit so had a good poke around the new custom.. Very nice indeed and looks a nice place to travel 👌 on a negative side I got my buddy to pull the build sheet on my 2020 van 42657 euro and the same van and spec now 53800 euro that's a fruity hike in 4 years 🙈

Won't be in till second week in July 👍 money is fucked who knew printing hundreds of billions of
$£€ would devalue money by massive percentages but hey how it has to be the Ukraine war nothing to do with paying the planet to stay home stay safe from a flu 🤔
