What can you recommend watching?

Emily the Criminal.
I love movies where I didnt recognise any famous actors. Plus it was a good story
It had Aubrey Plaza in it who I am not really aware of as an actress. Am I allowed to say actress? Assuming the gender there!…
 
Got round to watching Dune part 1, i have been a bit put off as the first movie is not great and i hate remakes but fucking hell they have knocked it out of the ball park, looking forward to part 2 now!! (y)

Shogun on Hulu. Japan is one of my favorite countries, love the culture, engineering and attention to detail. This show is a good watch so far. On episode 2.

I haven't come across such a thing yet. There is a very beautiful Japanese to Portugese interpreter for one of the Regents. I had no idea the Catholics, via Portugal, had such an effect in Japan.

The Jesuits certainly had some success in converting some to Catholicism.

The Americans had more of an effect on Japan though, with Commodore Perry & his squadron forcing Japan at the point of a multitude of cannon to open its borders to trade.
Bizarre when think it was 1852 and the Americans weren't even looking for oil back then.

For the record, as soon as Netflix discovered I was located off the Indian subcontinent it has prevented me from watching any of my downloads or Netflix. Stating Netflix is not supported in your current location. Good news is that youtube is completely advert free... Worth noting if you watch via a VPN..
Next trick is to enable vpn on my tablet to see if I can fool them into thinking I'm back in London .

Netflix is weird, sometimes VPN works sometimes it does not. They're getting better at detecting and blocking.
