What have you done on your bike today?

Today i went to Winchester to put some money in the bank and for some reason the motorcycle park was cordoned off. Had i nice ride to Salisbury, not been there for a while.:) Nice day today and all the daffodils are coming out and blossom on the trees, spring is in the air thank fuck!! Sick of all the dull grey days we've had.☀️

You quite clearly need some loud straight thru pipes on that Harley! There'll be no more of these "nice upbeat sunny rides" with thoses bad boys!🤘🤘👿👿👿

My free Road Tax letter arrived from the DVLA today, so I went on-line and renewed it for another year from the 1st April. MOT not required either.

Couple of hours in the garage last night....finally got round to (after literally fucking years) of the night before the mot hotwiring some indicators and a large sail of a numberplate to whichever bike i was getting MOT'd. Made a quick release setup and used an OEM plug so now its 2 bolts and just plugging into the loom and its ready to go. Last nights setup was the for the RSV4. Z1000 next.

Fitting the new battery, take 2.

Went back together easier than I expected and all bolts accounted for.

Got the fuel cap opened so put a petrol can of E5 in and she started up straight away. Oiled the chain then took it for a warm through - only about 12 miles taking it easy because I’d only taken a lid gloves and jacket. And it needs MOT and taxing. I’d forgotten how sweet it is bimbling through the bends.

Itching to tax the Diavel today, check the tyre pressures and get out on it. Looks like being another cracking spring day with wall to wall sunshine. But we had a sharp frost last night. Windscreen is frozen solid and the fugging gritters have been out in force. That's the trouble up here at this time of year. Clear skies and sunny days means gritter lorries overnight.

You have a windscreen on your motor sickle

Your part time boyfriend @Laava has one of those chianese thangs... ask him... it’s all sideways apparently.
lol, part time!🤣
@Karen there’s an enduro version of the Ducati 450MX, I think it’s called the 450MXED, it’s coming out very soon, has lights and is road legal.

There’s also the new KTM390R as a consideration too.
I went to a race track this weekend and they had the new 390r there but I did not get a chance to sit on it. I don’t look like I might be a prospective customer I guess?…

Went to round three of the NZ superbikes and got seriously overheated in the sun. It was awesome watching Andrew Stroud race the Britten, he did not hold back and spent a lot of time on the back wheel! Also got to go onto the track for a couple of touring laps! There is accommodation there in the form of apartments which you can buy, rent out, or even live in.

Today i didn't do much as they as usual got the weather forecast wrong, i'ts cold and grey not sunny and 15 degrees!! I was going to do some bits on the Harely as 2 out of 4 bits i ordered have come over the weekend. I just spent most of the day on the net finding out what makes my Harley engine tick. Mine is an 883cc with a 1250cc big bore kit on it, i did know that when they get the big bore treatment you need to change the drive pulley's size to compensate for the BHP gain, a lot of people don't bother!! I also found out the weakest bit on my model range they suffer big style with is the clutch, the standard clutch has a spring plate that is 2 plates riveted together with brass rivets!! It apparently happens around 20K miles when you find it difficult to change gear the said plate is going to expolde and ruin your day, it's set in the centre of the clutch pack!! It's also known as the grenade plate:), now mine having a 1250cc upgrade i have no idea if it has been changed to a clutch kit that does away with the grenade plate!! The thing is when the big bore is fitted you also need to upgrade the clutch to compensate for the power, so who ever put the big bore on should of been aware of this. I've got just over 12K on mine and the clutch feels great, i don't want to tear the primary case down just to find out it's been done. If there is any problems of it not going into gear i'll have to do it and take a look.🤷‍♂️

Maybe you should buy a new hammer, the old one will be worn out
