What have you done on your bike today?

It had a full service when i got it, fresh oil in primary and engine, new plugs and a brand new battery, the battery alone was 180 quid. The oil when i had a look is lovely and fresh and oil levels are bang on, they are a part of the Crescent group and they don't fuck about, the reason i got it. Crescent Suzuki was in Verwood but are now based in Italy and run the yamaha WSBK team under Paul Denning. Crescent are part of the Verwood branch as they where a Suzuki dealership and ran the Motogp team back in the day, they now sell differant makes of bike, they also are a part of the branch in Lowford.

Full service...so they put the air filter back that was full of shit?

£180 for a battery - thought you'd got a Harley not a Tesla 😁

You have to remember the filter was bypassed by the velocity stack so the filter wasn't being used, i now have a blanking plate and it now runs on the filter.

This is what it was running on with the screw in velocity stack.

Isn't there breather holes in the air filter back-plate for the two engine cylinders ? Normally the oily air would be ingested back into the engine via the carb for re-burning. With that velocity stack on did that go straight into the intake & so basically block that off so the engine breathing just collected on the inside of the filter ?
Or, was there a gap between the bottom of the velocity stack & carb mouth ?

Why wouldn't you just vent to the atmosphere? I did when I ran a DNA airbox on my KTM.
You could, but I'm sure those two "bulges" either side of the filter back-plate have in effect banjo bolts fitted to allow the engine to breath via the intake, helping to save our planet.
Could also be very wrong about this !! :ROFLMAO:

My 117 M8 had those but there was a kit to bypass them when fitting an aftermarket breather. I don't want my engine breathing dirty air contaminated with oil. If it's bad for me it must be bad for the bike...

Copied and pasted.
For the enthusiast who likes their options. Quick change threaded V-Stack for direct air intake or threaded billet cap to bring in air through the high-flow air filter. CNC Machined aluminum with black anodize, all made in the USA. The air cleaner that does it all. Features a threaded quick change velocity stack or a threaded end-cap to utilize the K&N high-flow filter, CNC machined aluminum construction. A taper design for additional knee clearance and an internal breather to eliminate oil leakage. Black anodized with machined accents. Made out of lightweight, durable components. Easy bolt-on installation.

I went to this year's Bikes at the Manor last Sunday and this bike was on display there as well. The frame and running gear is Ducati 250, modified, the engine is an Alpha Centauri 250 2Stroke twin, built by Alpha Bearings. Loads of great bikes at the Manor
