BBC Symphony Orchestra was on telly lasty night performing Dvorak's 9th New World symphony.
I watched it all from start to finish. I'd (almost) forgotten what a wonderful piece of music it is.
Forget Hovis ads and colliery brass bands, this is what the iconic Largo second movement is supposed to sound like.
I know classical music isn't everyone's cup of tea but I defy anyone not to find this moving.
[Not the Beeb performance from last night but a more dynamic recording by the American All Star Orchestra 11 years ago]
