Hi Guys, I'm not on the forum much now, just keeping an eye on this thread obviously. Kenny, we'll just get a car at the airport, the last time we booked ahead and waited in a Q for over an hour... the first time we went we just strolled up to Avis (the quietest desk) and we were away in 10 minutes.

I would suggest a PEOPLE CARRIER, it'll be a bit more, but will be handy for 7 to pile into at night... AND, we'll get one with a fridge.

Can I just remind everyone KEYS... BIKE KEYS, don't forget them FFS. Medical insurance everyone ??? www.trackcover.com, and drving licence BOTH parts for car hire... Kenny, BigPitBitch volunteered to drive, but once on track I don't do much on the booze front, so I'll go back up driver.

Absolutely BOUNCING now, can't wait.....

OK - see you at Glasgow Airport THURSDAY... anyone else booked a priority pass... I can't hop on and reserve 40 seats FFS

Hey M.D. i'll sort out priority boarding tonight (didn't think your arms would stretch to keep us all seats anyway), im in wind down mode already, see you thurs am..:lol2:

Ya man, 4 tenders and 2 PQQ's to do before we go and I can't be bothered.. must focus... must focus.

Anyway you lot... the T shirts are ready... now, I don't want to be taking all these into Glasgow Airport on Thursday, so who fances a wee trip out to Ink Shop Printing HQ in Cumbernauld... I'll see if Fergie has room in his case, mines a tad packed after squeezing in "Skippy".

I ordered 6 "L" and 6 "XL"..... Ducati red of course, white print.

Hope you got the money up front for the t-shirts!! :lol2:

Have a safe trip guys, and get loads of pictures

see post 95 - that's what was sent... ready in Glasgow now... could you pick them up from our London Road shop on Wednesday... I'm under pressure a bit

All the best guys, Hope you all have a great trip.

Looking forward to seeing the pics and hearing the stories!!!

don't forget guys, Almeria weather is the TOWN, the track is 30-40 minutes driving further north into the desert... as the web site claims, often rain in the surrounding area doesn't affect the track....... could be marketing p1sh, but I'll go with that theory.... anyway, a wet day in Almeria is better than a dry day in the office.

Let me know if you still need the (Almeriarex) T-shirts picked up at c/nauld or what, should be able to escape at one point tomorrow. I'll check this thread again A.M. Wed or call me, think you've got my mobile eh... What about dosh, dont want any hassle like a certain gentleman (that rides an older Ducati project thingy) got :D :D :D ;)

T Shirts are now HERE... COOL AS F***. Donations welcome, I did jump the gun a bit getting these printed without giving you costs, but £178 + VAT @17.5% each    it is a bargain !!!!

Sorry, just got caught up in the moment....

Collections welcome, but really, it's only 12, Fergie and I can pack 6 each and hand them out in the glorious sunshine at Almeria....

Last day today, 10.29am, tenders and PQQ's done, staff notified, e.mail on the blackberry switched OFF, mobile broadband account CLOSED - I am READY TO ROCK and RACE....... bring it on :D :D :D :D :D :D

T Shirts

Fergoid came up with a good idea, I know, I was stunned too.

The Ink Shop (Colour Printers), being the major sponsor of the Ink Shop / Ducati Alemeria Race Team, have agreed that they will buy the aforementioned T Shirts. We will now ask for a donation of £15 for these collector items  and the funds collected will be split equally between the SPCA and Cash For Kids.

To be honest GREAT IDEA, I hate to see animal cruelty at any time, but discarded dogs / cats at Christmas annoy me SO MUCH, and the kids too that are finding things tough... TWO very worthy charities I'm sure you'll agree.

So, dig deep guys and gals... Almeria T Shirts on sale NOW, we only have 12, and priced at a MINIMUM of £15. If we could get a bit more than £15 that would be great, wouldn't it guys.... WOULDN'T IT GUYS ??

Cheery Bye

Right, 17.38, time to shut down the PC and head off home... won't be back on now chaps, so if it's urgent PM Fergie, he'll contact me...

See you at the Airport... we're getting a taxi to pick us up around 5.30am - should be at Glasgow Aeroporto around 6.00am - checked in, and let the games begin.

Top of the escalator, turn LEFT... into the amusements... there is TWO bike simulators there that can race each other.... sounds like a warm up lap to me. £5 cash for anyone with the balls to stick on a crash helmet and RACE...

OH MAN, this is going to be a weekend of merry hell being created

YeeeeeeeeeeeHaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwww

Hi Honey. I'm home... where's my feching mobile, need to book up for Jerez in March now.... yeeha, Jester's dead.

Pictures to follow, and what pictures, jeez US CHREEEE IST can these guys drink and party... I was way out my league.

I have to say, and will be backed up shortly when the guys are home... BEST weekend ever, not as good a track as Jerez, BUT WHAT A WEEKEND. Great company too.

Thanks to Kenny, Big Pit Bitch, Weeian and Fergie and to others not on the forum, Stevie, Stevie Jnr, Casey, Don, Martin, Laura, Phil, Michaela (spelling ???). Don't think I've missed anyone. Thanks Guys, I've never laughed so much.

Kenny - "Rubbin son is racin'".... watch Days of Thunder, classic line.

Oh - Pizza Hut... your food is shid !!!

The Need For Speed

Being a "rookie" it was a joy watching a D16RR being ridden like the bitch should be... Stevie Snr, complete with full race system was FLYING... now, I thought guys like Martin were quick (and they are), but FFS, as everyone saw Stevie Snr made the rest look like the novice group. Of course I'm not mentioning Stevie JNR here who is faster again  but from a racer you'd expect that. I couldn't keep up with them on track or in the bar, need more training on both :D :D :D

Can't wait now for Jerez. Anyone not convinced about tracks ??? Trust me, they are sessioned, so you can choose your group, and watch in delight with the likes of Stevie Jnr... Wish I'd done this years ago.

Pictures

Here's a few pictures, general track pics from day one and how the morning of day 2 looked from my hotel window.... this is also how my head felt, so it was a perfect balance  However, the circuit is 30 minutes away, in the desert... the weather there was OK and we were back on track by early morning. Did you know that where the track is located is where all the Westerns such as The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, For a Few Dollars More etc was filmed .... the sets etc are still all there. Didn't know Clint Eastwood had a 1098R, so in Ducati Glasgow it's now Dirty HARRY ;) :D

More Pictures

OK, here's a few more. 1) Another picture of the circuit, for those who think Knockhill is crowded, there are bikes out there, 40 bikes max in a circuit over 4.5km long, it's as safe as you're going to get. 2) Here's Andy Carson, he's wearing Martin's chest on his head :D 3) Weeian, was getting a bit loud, so the guys decided to gaffa tape and cable tie him 4) Mission accomplished :D 5) This picture is on my camera titled "GAY F@NNY" but I can't remember why I called it that :D :D :D

And Finally

For A Few Dollars More....... 1) Looks like I've just had my glitch for this mission, another 1098R came a tad too close as you can see, but that's OK, it was after all a 1098R, I'd have been @@@@ed off if it was just a base model :D :D :D :D :D 2) No sooner had we arrived then it was time to go, back at Malaga Airport. Tell you what, FCUK that in high season. I thought Heathrow was bad, but that is a sh1t hole.

Thanks for the memories guys, just had a right laugh again looking at these, this must go down in the books as the best one. Still wondering out how a pizza and a beer in Porto Banus cost me 40 euros though, ten people, 400 euros... anyway, it was worth it for the company. Until we meet again :D
