Kawasaki KR1000 Endurance Replica

Finished the swing arm polishing - it will get a buff up when on the bike as it will get smudged when assembling and fitting...

Fitted the bearings:

Fitted and torqued up the top engine mount now I have my new rod with 20mm thread on either end... so the Engine is now fully mounted

Fitted new Chain Runners courtesy of @Nelly 's Classic Kawasaki Endurance Parts Emporium (often wondered why he calls it Cornerspeed Ducati )

The spacer is in place that fills the gap where the 999 engine would have been...

I have a chain guard but it kinda looks out of place in Carbo - should I spray it black, make one in Alloy or take the easy option and leave it as is 🤷‍♂️

Very nice, with the chain gaurd it depends on how you want to go with the replica, keep true to form or leave it.
If it was me i would go down the make an ali one but then saying that there are some great ali paints so maybe do that to save fucking about?
It is all down to your preferance dude .

It’s a modern re-creation more than a replica so wouldn’t matter too much - there’s just no other carbon anywhere 🤔 making an alloy one would delay the build 🤣🤣🤣

Not a fan of the carbon. Alloy or paint it black in my humble opinion.

As the bike the project is based on never had a chain guard, the chain guard can be whatever you want but carbon is a no no.

I'd see it as you either spray the carbon one black. create or find one in stainless steel or, to go really retro in the look, find a hugger in white which of course has chain guard built in, looks 70's and has a match with parts of the paint job?

I dismissed the combined hugger / chain guard as it spoils the look of the back end I think - paint looks the likely option for the guard (y)
