Some of you may recall this thread, where I asked how far is too far?

How Far Is Too Far?

I've got this mad idea to organise a charity ride from the top of Ireland to the South, in one day 😯. It's not the most direct route as it takes in some of the Wild Atlantic Way so it's 1000km, 14Hrs, according to Calimoto - doable or too far? What's everyone think?

Well, things have moved on from there considerably and the event that was but a germ of an idea back then is more going ahead 👍.

June 21st, the longest day of the year, a charity bike (motorbike) ride from Malin Head, Ireland’s most northerly point (ish) to Mizen Head, the most south westerly point (ish). All in a good cause, to raise funds for the Irish Community Air Ambulance; the only one in the country and it’s volunteer run and donation funded.

And….. just to make things more interesting (difficult🤔) for me, I’m doing a mini tour of the UK in the days running up to 21/6, but more about that in another (not created yet) thread.

All money raised in sponsorship is going to the Irish Community Air Ambulance , the only air ambulance in ROI and which sadly our Health Service doesn't fund and which has to rely solely upon donations hence my efforts (and the efforts of those taking part).

As it’s for a very good cause, one from which any one using this Forum may (but we hope not) need to call upon and as there are still a few of the exclusive 2022 Forum Calendars available, the Forum has decided to support West Cork Paul by donating all proceeds from the sale of the remaining calendars to his venture👍.

It's now committed to print and will be ready for dispatch very shortly and thank you everyone (who's photo is in it) for use of your photos (y). This is a very limited edition calendar - just 50 copies o_O but if demand exceeds supply I can get another 50 printed, however, 100 will be the max...
