I was a twitchy about it's track and rebuild history. Plus DV was overseas, the bike was quite a distance from me, and on a base. So £16k was where I drew the line, to have 2 or 3 grand in reserve just in case. I did haggle before it went on ebay, until DV got the hump.Just curious
In the flesh the bike is near perfect.
Looks almost new, sounds sweet.
His attention to detail and honesty made the sale for me.
It was just over an hour away, so I went prepared to collect when I viewed.

Reports of the 1098 gearbox, plastic tank and traction control being suspect put me off a bit. And I wasn't that bothered when it was sold, didn't the winning bidder drop out though? A low mileage 1299S with a warranty suited me better to put 2 or 3k road miles on.
