Ah, he old "Why isn't he riding like a maniac on the road" response.
Going double or triple every speed limit, pinning it through villages on the back wheel and doing burn outs at every set of lights. You know, like we all do on a daily basis. 
I'm surprised you don't ask to see his 'chicken strips' to comment on those too.

there's probably 50-70k of residual value reasons for not doing that.
I know a man with two of kenny Roberts' YZR500 in his garage - he never rides them either but at over 200k each who can blame him.
£60 to £70k seems the current price range these days for low mileage bikes

- A yoke no. >1,000. These had the valve and throttle body work done before they came out of the factory.
- GP7 exhaust, was approx £7k to buy from Ducati.
- History
- And the most important - Condition

When I was having a tyre on Helga the other day, the mechanic who services mine was saying that they service 3 of them inc mine. One was bought from Sheffield and in his words, isn't the best when the failring are off. He said mine was the best they saw, and it is mint tbh.

While in Ducati Leeds today looking at a bike, the manager told my mate who also has a Desmo to "Never sell it, they are going to go mental".
