Stuart, if you are still up this way, come over here, it's dry this morning and we can show the doubting Thomas's how wrong they are!!!!

By the way, I don't do tank pads - at all! Hate them, ugly things!! :)

Ok I confess, photoshoped my 1/12 Tamiya Desmo into a pic of my Imola - then sat me on it!!!! :p

Ed, no worries, love to. I'll call you when leaving, but should be over late PM this morning Sunday... take a few pics of the bikes together, post them, then we'll head off. What's the forecast for today ?? Check your tyre though, after driving it home you might not have anymore than 100-200 miles left.

well it's not April 1st but I deffo agree with Mikey there is a distinct whiff of Bullsh!t in the air.

Did you post these from Germany then Ed?

Steve, your link doesn't lead anywhere mate (not on my computer anyway)

OK, I went from Zeebrugge to Rosyth having only ridden the thing about 100Km over there (for the hell of it). Claus drove me from Hennstedt (Duc dealer where I used to work) to Zeebrugge in the van. From Rosyth we trailered (my neighbour came down) it back up here, so can't really say I rode it back but hey, I went and picked it up didn't I!! :)
As some of you will know, I've purchased a few vehicles (mainly German sports cars) direct from Germany and yes I kept the plates. These are Export plates, the D16 was pre-registered hence the proper German plate. :)

Why would this be a wind up?

I thought Rose was away all week and you were looking after the girls?

So, you took your private jet to Germany first then that ferry must have changed into a speedboat for you to get there and back in that time.........

Hey!

If Drambuie can do it so can Ed.:D

Kinda makes you wonder what all the fuss is about getting to Knockhill for the DG nights.

And I cannot believe he would have resisted buying one from DG to get Kerrie to deal him!

However. His story may hold some water. I noticed that Ducati have taken the "Sold Out" tab from the website. And are actually inviting sales requests? Maybe the economic downturn has prevented a few yuppies from splashing:(

But. I still smell @@@@e. Volleys of it in fact. :p

If it is truly yours Ed then congratulations.
Friend of mine picked up new tricked RC8 yesterday with all the extra gubbins you could spec...very loud and very nice...but his words were "if the desmo's hadn't sold out then I would have got one of them instead".
Couple of things with the piccies though - no flies on the front so doesn't seem to have been ridden far in Scotland, but chicken strips don't look like they've been done just from rolling off a trailer either.Hmmmm.

Yeah, the man who cant afford a £50 for a tank of fuel for his Landrover can mystically pull out X amount of thousand of pounds for a new bike.......:lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

Think I'll get in to the B&B game.......or cocaine smuggling :)

The Data On The MIG Is Inaccurate

Who remembers that movie line ?? Anyway, from Ducati.com FIVE MINUTES ago

Every single one of the 1500 Ducati Desmosedici RR bikes, the first true MotoGP replica which the Borgo Panigale manufacturer decided to produce in a limited number, has been sold

I think they should know

...I haven't ridden it at all in Scotland yet (been to see our pony compete this am) besides the weather is crap here now!!

...Chicken strips? I had a short go on the roads in my old stomping grounds in North Germany. Hey I may not have liked it and not wanted it!!!! :p :)

...Hey your business makes you enough money to buy three of these in one go!!!! - I'm a hound for the pound mate!!! Made a few bucks recently!! :)

You realise any credibility you two ever had has now gone.:D ;) :D

You're getting yet @@@@ kicked in and you can shove your cheque up your arse :lol2:

:moon:  - we had alot of laughs, Mark (my neighbour) Stuart and I thinking this one up. :)
Shall I ban myself from the forum now ? ;) :p

I hope everyone saw the funny side of this, 57 replies since it was posted yesterday. C'mon guys, no one noticed that I had changed my mood to "sneaky" and made reference to "War of the Worlds", which if you remember the radio show in the states was a PLAY !!! ;) Thought DUN Sherlock Holmes (Fergie :D ) would have instantly seen that.
Ed, thanks for the hospitality yestrday, lovely place you have there... Houston gave me "go for launch" on that straight stretch, I managed 62mph, but reckon if it wasn't a public road and limited to 60mph, I am almost certain I could have got 132mph.

Someone made reference to the chicken strips, yeah, sorry about that, but the tyre was new, and coming up the A9, you'd need more warp factor 2 Capt. Kirk to scrub 200's on that road... and you'd CERTAINLY have Klingons on your starboard bow with those speeds  So, I took it over the Nairn to Granton on Spey road, the chicken strips, well they're gone :D :D

So Ed, great to talk, tell us more about the 1098R you got from a dealer down south for £21k then :D
