I was in Portugal in '89, went to the bar one night and asked for a port, the barman said excitedly oporto to which I nodded. He poured me a generous glass which I started to drink (very nice it was too) just after halfway it mysteriously filled up 🤔 this continued all night and not another coin passed over the bar. My head was fekkin banging the next morning 🤣🤣

Lovely place, must go back 😆

Welder missed a bit on the exhaust to had to go back up to get that bit done....picked up a couple of off cut of box iron so i can take the shock out of the hyper and then the RSV4 to get them serviced and get the spring on the hyper recoated as its peeling off and rusting...Proton as promised.

Was having a conversation with my mate a few weeks back about the price of ASV levers....last one i bought for the RSV4 about 10 years ago cost me 69 quid....i think theyre riding about 130+ at the moment....stuck in the search for my z1000 and as expected about 230 to 250 for a set then noticed someone selling a set for 100 quid...so i had no option but to get them....

Today i went for a spin out to Salisbury via a fuel stop at Loomies garage then on to the Winchester bypass and A34 then turn off for the A30 for Salisbury. Parked up on the Salisbury Guildhall Square to Tesco for some cider then home, beutiful day and perfect biking weather with not a cloud in the sky. It's meant to be warmer tomorrow all the way to Saturday so will make the most of it!!:)☀️

Today there was not a cloud in the sky and warmish so rode the Harley up to Tot Hill services up the A34 for a Mcdonalds. On the way up the South bound side there were three cop cars surrounding two cars and a copper walking up the road stopping the traffic, fuck knows what was going on, i'll do some digging later.
After Mcdonalds i headed for Hungerford, lovely roads out that way then on to Marlborough that can be a bit of a nightmare for traffic lights and traffic. I then headed towards Salisbury(didn't stop there) then Romsey and home. The weather got shit the further North i went, it started to clear a bit coming out af Hungerford and by the time i got to Romsey it cleared to sunny skies.☀️
When riding through Romsey something stung me on the right side of my face the fucking bastid, it still stings a bit, i haven't seen many wasps this year that is a bit odd but it had to be one of them feckers!!🐝

Retire as soon as you can Swiss T you will not regret it. I feel sorry for the people that have to work until they're 67 as they can't afford to retire.
 
I retired at 59 (strictly speaking, I accepted redundancy with a package that meant I received a bunch of cash and the equivalent of my pension until actual retirement).

Best fecking decision of my life. The job look set to go to absolute squirrel shit and job cuts were also on the cards so it was time to go.
I know I would have kept my job but I didn't like the strings that were likely to be attached.
Shout-out to my boss who gave me advice on how to place myself in the "most likely to be laid off" category, which worked (there were a lot of moving parts to this). It also meant that someone who wanted or needed to keep their job, kept their job which made me feel good.

And when I'm sixty-seven, if we still have a country (possible but not likely), the state pension will make me even richer than Exige. Which is nice.
