What the feck have you done today?

Yesterday but went over to my mates house to help him sort out his crashed z1000r. Little bit of a list to take care of.

1. Replace nosecone.
2. Remove ripped off bolt from master cylinder ( reservoir got torn off )
3. Fit tracker - additional work while we were in there.
4. New rear splangly billet rear brake arm.
5. Domino throttle fit.

He'd already done a fair bit of work replacing crash bungs and other panels and whatnot...

While i was working on that his mate turned up (who ive met a couple of times) who had one of the old classic Suzuki GSX1400 bikes. Hes just got over bowel cancer and was fretting about the local bike shop not fitting some braided hoses he bought...they wouldnt give him a price or time when they could do it, so got him to go home and get them, so did those straight after we got the z back together.... sitting in the shade today severly burnt! :)

Well done comfy hopefully you will get some good karma for your work 👌

Other half at work tomorrow so, back in the garage to catch up on my shit....

1. Primary job - replace the stator on my mates RSV1000 as hes coming to the TT with us (and it keeps cutting out. Everything weve tried so far hasnt worked... Ultimate rec/rec on the way but not in time....
2. Thought id got the oil level right on my NiX30 forks but apparently not (so says the lads on the AF1 forum) so have to take those apart to double check...
3. If i get time fit the dyna coils to the SXV.

Popped over to a village about 40 mins away to have a look at their mediaeval fete, it was quite good but got there too early to watch the events so came home as it was 33°C. Nice castle and church tho, more encampments and tents behind us.

Had family come to stay over the weekend so on Saturday I went and bought some more timber and started my seating area whilst I had an extra pair of hands.

We’ve all eaten out there the last two nights as the weather has been great.
I also found a life size model of Chiz so I’ve just given him a coat of paint to freshen him up.

All work completed yesterday.....

Kicked off with the Coil upgrade to the SXV - dead simple bolt in job...started on the button...

Then tackled the fork oil height on my RSV4 - this is one of those jobs that i cant seem to get a straight answer or explain myself clearly enough...ive tried doing the fork oil gap method and when i get to the gap that is correct everyone is telling me theres not enough oil in there.... so the other option (not as accurate) is to strip the fork empty it completely and then fill with a set amount...apparently 500ml so ive put in 450 as the sachs outers are ever so slightly narrower at the widest point to the ohlins outers....

Then to my mates RSVR - (stator swap out) good thing we did....old stator was totally black....

He rode it home and while much better is still getting problems with it cutting out......its usually left to stand for months at a time...so were out tomorrow night...for nothing more than to give it a fucking good rant...

Yep - were a dying breed (people who actually stay married!) - i think im at 28 years married plus 8 years before that...sounds a bit weird but for me when we were boy and girlfriend....that for me was the point we were "married" the marriage was a tax code change... :) - plus it was surreal...felt like i was at someone elses marriage..

Fuck marriage!! My ex left me with fuck all and lives in my beautiful flat with another sucker, she's a full on narcissist and he's her new narcissistic supply.:)
Happy as larry on my own and i can do what ever the fuck i want when i want.:sneaky:
