Bought some Liqui Moly Rubber Care for the window seals on my car.

The front windscreen rubber trim is cracking due to sun damage (15 years old), but even though the trim pulls off and the new trim clips in (with some encouragement) without removing the windscreen, the auto-glass businesses I've contacted, want to remove the friggin windscreen

Duck tape will protect from further uv damage, available in black or silver

I've got parcel tape holding the side window together. Might need to buy another roll.

Perhaps some clear parcel tape would be more aesthetically pleasing

How much is your windscreen excess Ron? If it's covered by insurance, whack it with a hammer in the line of site wiper area then get a new screen and rubber for peanuts

Obviously this is only advice given if you intend to write a book about such things so for educational purposes only

Im sure that's not unusual... I thought id want to do nothing as I got older so structured everything around that being possible.. it turns out now that im older I actually have no interest in retirement or doing nothing.. I think its far better if we can find something that works better for us as we age than trying to fill our time with joyless tasks out of boredom... best of luck whatever you decide

I think there's a 'special' bus once a week - takes our neighbour to Morrisons and back on a Wednesday - hope for me yet!

Cant do any diy this weekend, skint....firepit is next on my hitlist...needs a makeover, some of the tiles need re-seating, the led lighting failed last year (got a new strip to go in) some of the grout is missing from the floor tiles and it needs a re-paint....

Or, post TT fail im considering a single/just me road trip to caffeine and machine up in the midlands on the RSV4 as its supposed to be pretty warm....

The only thing that puts me off that - and i must confess im feeling it a bit more....going out is becoming more and more of a minefield....scum tying to knick youre bike, the fucking plod after you for totally benign reasons, cameras, the list goes on....sometimes im in the garage doing a bit of maintenance and all i can hear outside is fucking sirens, helicopters and engines being ranted...and then think...fuck me i darent set foot outside...

Get on the ferry to Spain, everything is a fraction of uk prices and the roads are superb

No wonder the High Street is so alive here, shops and hospitality are so vibrant in Seville, people are out and about at all hours, most things are less then half price then in the UK, certainly food and drinks are so cheap, few people bother with cooking, eat a few tapas at various times throughout the day and you never go hungry, quality is awesome too
