Its the ranfurly shield, a rugby trophy. Northland, my adopted team currently hold it and players take it around different locations ( schools, pubs, old people's home etc) for fans to have a look and hear about its history an stuff.
Last night was our locals turn. Had to go straight from work as i didnt know how long it was gunna be there. It was a great evening.
Kiwi's are pretty keen on rugby and any excuse for a piss up!!!
