A question on this with hopefully an answer. Most bikes come from outside the U.K. so are imports but come under the banner of official U.K. bikes.

What happens say in this case where the hpi check shows it as an import, does it effect it's collectability and price?

Mv agusta F4 1000 S 11k 2 owners 04 54 reg hpi clear stunning bike. Very rare. - Picture 1 of 20

I judge them on their merits - My 350 LC is a German import but has matching frame/engine numbers (which can allegedly affect price)- I wouldn't mind that MV though at a reasonable price - heart perhaps over head- I don't know - ask Perry ;)

If you’re buying, yes, if you’re selling, no.

Flippancy aside, IMO it really shouldn’t make a difference nowadays (unless you’re looking at a bike that wasn’t officially imported and NOVA’d prior to Brexit in which case there’ll be duty & vat to pay when registering it.)

I nearly bought one of those when i had my compo money, the standard version with the single battery conversion under the tank!! It's basicly the same as my 900ie with different clothing and it doesn't have the belly pan on it. The belly pan looks like part of the engine, that ones nice with the wire wheels and yes they want silly money for it as ever!! 🤷‍♂️

Ratasaki anyone ?
