My wife and daughter took Tess the dog out for a walk this morning around Badbury rings after which they went to a pub for lunch. Sat at a table close by was an old man, he said "I'll give you 10 quid for that dog" By the time they went to leave it had gone up to 50 quid. He said that he used to have a dog ti, 4 years ago, it died the same year as his wife, he said "I really miss that dog"![]()
Norwich innitAround 20 years ago I was walking one of our previous Staffy's (a black and white one called Jen) around Norwich City Centre on a sunny mid-week afternoon.
An old lady (at least 80) came up to us wearing a summer dress and a huge ginger wig like something out of "Gone with the Wind".
"Excuse me - Have you seen my dog?"
"What type of dog is it ?"
"Brown"
"Have you lost it ?"
"Yes - there were some soldiers about and they took it away with them"
"When did this happen ?"
"I think it was 1955 - do you think that the dog will still be alive?"
Hopefully nothing serious and it is from a bump.Took our Great Dane to the vets this evening, as he has a swollen toe. No obvious scrapes or cuts just swollen.
Took me back a bit when the vet said he couldn’t see anything and that it could just be where he has ‘bumped’ his paw but given his age (nearly 5) it could be a tumour of some sort.
