What have you done on your bike today?

Not knocking it…but it looks like motorbike hell to me. I don’t like crowds.
I've 3 mates over there this weekend all 3 absolutely refused to camp all through our travels they only camp at the event to look like proper adventurers 😆 all 3 hate GSs despite being faux overland adventurers.. they love the ABR every year but im with you on crowds 👍

I have been at The ABR 2026 (Adventure Bike Rider) festival from Thu through till Sunday. I got back home around lunch time today.

Scorchio ☀️ all weekend and very busy this year. Me and a mate camped as usual, but it was uncomfortable this year with the heat. A couple of mates turned up in motorhomes, and this may just be the future. They are game changers. 😬

Quite a bit to see. Plenty to drink and eat. Live tribute acts and a lot of guest speakers in a few tents talking all things motorbikes.

I got a chance to take the Husqvarna on the 30km trail at the event.

There was even a Bimota where you could tell which way it was facing. All very confusing for the Bimota-tisti I'm sure.

Cool pics mate.

That big Husky must have been a handful on those tyres!

It was a bit squrrily on the trail, but generally OK.

I came off once in some sand, but a slow rider basically stopped in front of me when I had to keep up some momentum. Luckily it fell into long grass at low speed on the RHS and no damage. I put Barkbusters on here before I went. Luckily they worked and got a knock. The flimsy standard plastic things would have smashed and probably cost me a brake lever.

The geeza on the yellow suzuki. You never mentioned Everclear was there

Sooo, rear master cylinder is back on the ZXR but the rear calliper was leaking 🤷‍♂️
Striped it and it was the o-ring between the castings that was caput.
Now stripped and in etching primer waiting for a seal kit and paint…

I didn’t think the Z1B came with twin discs, but apparently it was an option.
Came home via Congleton and the Wild Boar Clough then Monyash for a hot chocolate.

Today after adjusting the primary chain on the Harley( it was slack but not by much ) i went for a ride out.:) Bloody windy today but nice and cool, i then went to Sainsbury's in Iraq/africa for some decent burgers and then home, apparently there is another hot spell coming from Friday onwards!!🥵

Yes, they were an option, but the discs on the Z1, the A & the B were quite a bit thicker than the twin discs on the European A4 model, the US versions still had a single disc.

This happened yesterday Wednesday at about 7 O'clock, i was on my way riding up to Tesco going through the local housing estate. There is five roundabouts and i was coming up to the second one when a car came out from the right so slowed down applying the front brake. The next thing i'm down on the deck with the back wheel of the bike pinning me to the floor, my left foot was at a strange angle, here we go again FFS!!. Anyway a bloke stopped and got the bike off me and yeah my left ankle must be fractured. The guy who stopped to get the bike off me phoned for an ambulance, he got the reply the ambulance will be 3 hours.🤪 The police and fire service turned up to clean up a load of fuel that came out of the tank. I got breathalysed as it was an rta and the result was zero.😇
It turns out i had hit some oil on the road and that's what caused it, it fucking took me by surprise that's for sure, it was a slow speed off so not much damage to the bike.🥳
I phoned my son who was at work at the docks, he knows someone with a van, so he gave them a ring to see if they could get the bike back to the garage.
The two guys turned up to collect it and my son was waiting for someone to cover his shift and someone was availible. So he turned up and he said that he will take me to a&e, i was there for 8 hours getting assesed with x rays and yes my ankle is fractured and i landed heavy on my left arm so that was x rayed and thankfully it's fine but realy swollen.
I now have to wear a boot on my leg to help the fracture heal, fucking oil!!

WTF...another one! Glad you're not too badly smashed this time.

Is the road on a bus route? If it's anything like our buses, when the drivers fill it up with diesel it occasionally spits out some of it but their drain hose is located in the centre of the engine at the back. You can always spot a bus route road as it has a shimmer in the middle of the lane.

Have you thought about a three wheeler

Jeez, if it wasn't for bad luck you'ld have no luck at all!

Thankfuly just an ankle fracture that imo should be healed in a few weeks, it's not a sever break thank god. It could of been so much worse and the bike when i can get in the garage shouldn't take long to fix just a few scrapes, battle damage that adds to the story.(y)
