What have you done on your bike today?

Today i rode the Harley up to Winchester to the Vodafone shop to sort my phone out. It's been dead for 3 days as it won't charge, they told me to go up to a shop called phone tech so did that and they tested it, battery is fucked!! So i went for a wonder around Winchester while they sorted it out, went back and it had a new battery fitted and 60% battery charge.🥳
Cost me £50!!
I then went for a bit of a ride out then a bit of shopping and home. My left foot is painful today and i hadn't taken my pain killers as they make you realy drowsy, not a good idea when riding.🤷‍♂️
I used to take serious painkillers at one point, and ride my bike.

It was never an issue though. I hardly felt it when I crashed so where's the problem? 🙅‍♂️

Took the hyper to work today post starter motor install. Strangely it was a little lazy starting out of the garage but the return journey home it was near instant....jury is still out....could be a one off....more importantly - oil leak is fixed....so must have been the generator/instant gasket that was the issue....

Today i went out on the Harley after finding one of the nuts had come off the rear exhaust collet. So out with my fixings tin and bingo a nylocs nut. I then had to use the force to get the nut on from the other side of the bike. Got that on then back to the other side with an extention bar and and for the first time i've ever used one a universal joint. It's a fucking pain as the exhausts are in the way but i got it done, I'll keep an eye on it!!
Anyway when i got home i found out i've got a fucking nail in my rear tyre:eek:, nevermind i've got a full bottle of Puncture safe, tomorrow i will put some in the tyre and go out for a spin then pull it out when i get back so it should self seal, if not i'll plug it, there's to much tread on the tyre to replace and the hole is almost in the centre of it.🤷‍♂️

Wayne... have you ever been struck by a meteorite? How many times?
I'm guessing more than two times.

Not sure a nylock will do its job for very long at all on an exhaust. The nylon will melt pretty quickly id say.

You’re not forcing metric nuts onto SAE threads are you?
No, i checked the threads and they are metric. I had an Indian so the threads are the same. The other thing USA threads are fucking shit, i had to rethread some fixing's on it. The other thing like the Indian it's using tx head and allen head screws etc, fuckin mericans!!

I laughed at Wayne’s puncture only to find my new rear tyre was down to 5psi this morning.
I put some air in and headed off for breakfast at the only bikers cafe that was open before 10 am. It was shut so we headed down to Sidmouth for coffee and croissants on the sea front.

From there we went on to Lyme Regis for a stroll up The cobb

Then the coast road to Abbotsbury off to Dorchester from there the Cerne Abbas road had been surfaced dressed, bastards!

Karma!!:)
I haven't taken the nail out yet and it's still holding air, i'm going to put some pancture safe in it and go for a ride. It will coat the inside of the tyre and should seal the hole once i pull the nail out. That's the plan, puncture safe is good stuff and is a permanent seal so no need to plug but if it doesn't work i will plug it.🤷‍♂️

Today i went to the garage to check the rear tyre, it's lost some air so decided to get the valve out and deflate the tyre and put the puncture safe in. I then pumped it up to 35psi then before i go out for a jolly i'll check the tyre pressure and see what it reads. I'm going out for a Loomies garage run then Tesco. I will check pressure again when i get back before i take out the whateverthefuckitis, it's not a nail.
