Fit the eliminator yourself. You will find it very rewarding beating the (Zen) gumption trap.
I guess you will have read Zen and the art of motorcycle maintainance.
The book has very little to do with motorcycle maintenance it is a philosophy book using motorcycling analogically.
The fictional story contains a scene where he is riding with a very intelligent friend who has no interest in servicing his bike himself. The author of this "autobiography reefers to this condition as a "gumption trap"
You are quite capable of doing it yourself but would sooner spend your hard earned money getting someone else to do it.
Which is what happens to me when it comes to Desmo services.
Great book that, i had a copy and it went missing on one of my moving flat bollox.Fit the eliminator yourself. You will find it very rewarding beating the (Zen) gumption trap.

The exhaust flap eliminator actually stopped every single fault on my sdr its considered part of the braking system so it throws the ktm into limp modeThe first 2 pics above should be in the other order.
Guessing the MSG mid-match relates to the screen swing ‘transmission error’ but it’s nothing to do with that.
So I’m wondering - P16A4 is cooling fan - it worked ok though was on for longer than usual after I’d got it home. And there’s very little coolant in - way below min level.
Then P0475 - exhaust servo; could that explain it conking out (if exhaust valve closing?)
I’ve got a Healtech eliminator that I bought on @Swiss T recommendation but never fitted it as it looks super fiddly for my ability.
Any thoughts?

Not sure but the exhaust flap is supposedly used for back pressure under braking on the ktm. When the flap didn't operate correctly it throws up an mct fault which limited my bike 4500 rpm so it wouldn't surprise meCould that cause it conking out too?
Give it a go mate, i love getting stuck in, the first time i changed the belts on my 900ie i was a bit nervous!!The first 2 pics above should be in the other order.

Thanks Noobs - what the American guy said (about error codes and limp mode etc) are the same as mine, but mine conked out every mile and a half.
The Sergeant Sodom vid is the one I’d watched that put me off doing it
Might have to bite the bullet and get it done
Bin the stock flappy exhaust for flapless, catless aftermarket and a remap?
Another little run out this morning to get some spares
