What the feck have you done today?

Been stripping down a set of windows out on the deck. Pissing it down it is. Heavy rain warning for the nex 18 hours. Hard to stay motivated in this weather..
We have swamp chickens. Daft fuckers, their house is dry but they have spent the last 4 hours fucking about in the rain.
They are quite scrawny when wet, definitely not worth eating yet...

Yea we have no drainage. Its a tricky one as we are lower than the storm water drain on the street so cant connect to that. We hope one day the neighbor will give us permission to run a drain to their swamp but we haven't asked yet as we cant afford it anyway at the min. Getting the house finished is first then we will deal with the water. It only pools in serious rain and disappears very quickly once it passes and it runs over the drive and into the swamp before its high enough to go in the garage.
A large part of the problem is the hight of the driveway, when we eventually dig that up an redo it at a lower level the water will naturally run to the swamp.

Dox, can you give me your opinions on the Jag?

Is it diesel, is it reliable, would you recommend one?

Thinking about one, to put the dogs in the boot 👍

Love it - often think about swapping it but then think why…I like how it drives, and they’re solid.

2.2 diesel 200bhp
Thecar I had before it was a Merc S500L and that was more trouble, and I prefer the Jag

Couple of things; they go through brakes, discs and pads every 30000 miles so check if they’ve been done. The only other thing that’s needed replacing was the differential - was about £1500, but I don’t think it’s a common fault.

I don’t like the model that replaced it…doesn’t look like a Jaguar, could be a Mazda or something.
