What the feck have you done today?

Golf at 7.04.
Rides out on both bikes from 11
Back watching rugby.

A pretty good day so far 👍

That Porsche is a £400k 911 S/T - nice but that’s barmy…you could get a GT3 for 125 and spend probably 20 on it and get the same thing.

I noticed three blokes there that must’ve been 25 stone easy. One put something in his GT3 RS and I thought ‘I bet he ticked all the carbon fibre options to reduce the weight and he’s double the size he should be.

While we have a major snowstorm happening outside I am sitting around looking up info about 1989 Mercedes Benz 230GE SWB's, M102 inline 4, manual 4 speed. Test drove one yesterday. It's in good condition, ran well. Does need a little work...maybe new exhaust system to start. Otherwise it seems like it would be just a very basic fun car to drive around town. Did anyone here ever own one?

My brother had one - the 5 door.
We got it stuck at a 45 degree angle sideways on a stone wall half way down a track on Farleton Knott…must’ve been 1988. Had to get a farmer with a JCB to take the wall down to get it out.
From what I remember it was very agricultural…slow, heavy, not great on the open road.

Yes. From what I understand they are meant more for offroad travel keeping with military origins. Lacking power at 60+mph. Our Hummers are also military, same deal, max out at about 55mph. No freeway driving if it can be avoided.

Talking of Porsches (and @BobTheBounder) where’s @Daughterofdesmo these days too. I do hope she’s ok? (Not so worried about Bob). You don’t think they’ve eloped together do you?
