The Harley has been booked in for the 23rd, it's running to lean imo and it pops and farts way to much. It needs to be sorted, the place that's doing it are about two miles from me and they are picking it up. They are booked solid till mid July but they have slotted me in, it's a family run business with great reviews.(y)

You could buy a helmet like Fight the streets helmet then you know it will never get nicked.
 
Tonight....pulling the forks apart on the RSV4 and then the Zed to re do the fork oil i had some 10w in the garage and used that...should have used 5w so redoing them...

Just to add the net result of using 10w was everytime i went round a corner somone hung a couple of bricks on that side of the bars...

It’s got a pan-roof, but with everything else that is good about it, I couldn’t not have it.

I also used an app called Cuvva, it lets you insure vehicles for a couple of hours or a few days, it cost me £32 for two days cover, which I thought reasonable and it allowed me to drive immediately. Got to fanny about with insurance quotes now 🙁.

I had one that looked mint with low mileage. I bought it in the summer.
The first heavy downpour the passenger footwell was full of water and that was the story every time it rained and then I noticed the back quarter was leaking as well.
A quick google brings up loads of similar stories and it’s the same pan roof used in the VW vehicles.
I ended up selling mine to WBAC to get rid.

The car was great otherwise, it drove really nicely and I would have another but without the pan roof.
 
Half the work done....tackled the zed first - didnt have time to do the RSV - saturday for that....replaced the oil with 5w Nitron oil....and crucially only when i leant on the fucking rear tyre to get off the floor realized that was fucking flat as well...probably adding to the problem...pumped that back up - its my daily driver so ill be on it tomorrow morning...
 
Ive just packed the bike. All set for my mini grand tour of the western front starting in Belgium and then on to France. 3 of us going, I've done most of Belgium but only done Vimy Ridge on the Somme. One of the lads has done a lot of the Somme but none of Belgium. The other mate has never been to either.
The plan is Sunday Paschendale Museum, The ijzer tower, trenches of death, Yorkshire trench
Monday travel to Albert via Vimy Ridge then after that it's up to my mate. We're leaving France noon on Thursday
