What the feck have you done today?

My comprehensive car insurance is due in October, and the first reminder arrived by email today.

Car is a 15 year old BMW 635 d

I decided to submit two different quote applications to my existing insurer in order to get a view of the differences in mileage and business use.

I have around 20 years no-claims, no convictions/points, and live in a relatively low crime area.

Quote A - 3000 miles pa and Social Domestic Pleasure Premium £200

Quote B - 6000 miles pa and SDP plus Business Use (H & S Consultant) Premium £200

I remember one year when my (comprehensive) bike insurance quote was ridiculous. I asked them to quote me for TPF&T... it was higher than the fully comp.

If I could, I would launch everyone working in motor insurance and all related organisations into the Sun.

I planted the garden out with seedlings. The shallots are hardy enough and the rocket looks ok but the lettuce got murdered. No biggy as i had more than i need and some are still undercover on the deck so i'll put them out soon. Surely that had to have been the last frost for the year!
 
Today i delt wth the strawberries that we grow in guttering along the fence.
I wanted to change out the soil and split the crowns of the larger plants to replace the few that died last year.
Pulled em all out, washed the roots off, split the big ones, stripped any dead foliage and soaked em in root tonic while i put nice new soil with sheep pallets and strawberry food in the troughs.
Last year we hax a problem with woodlice eating the fruit and there was still a few in the old soil, so they got wash off a i spayed all the fence around the troughs with bug poison so hopefully that will prevent more returning. Lil fuckers .
Anyhu, that was 4 hours spent in beautiful sunshine and it was quite therapeutic.
Had to do it all pretty much one handed as im nursing the duff shoulder.

Just arrived at our hotel near Consett after driving from our gaff in France. Only got caught with a delay at the A1M/M1 junction but pleasantly surprised there were no other issues from Pompey.

Lovely place and will experience the restaurant later tonight.

Nieces wedding tomorrow so probably be pissed tomorrow night lol.

Back home on Tuesday.
