I’m not a fan of peaty whiskys - got a mate who loves ‘em
Given the choice I'd swap with what you're drinking but it was a present. I'm getting use to it now but the first taste was like antiseptic.
I think they paid about 45 sobs for it.

I first tried Ardbeg a few years ago on the Isle of Harris. Lots of people still burned peat then and the scent of it was in the air everywhere you went, summer and winter. As soon as I open a bottle of Ardbeg that's exactly the smell I get. Takes me right back to Harris every time. What’s it like?
I was given a couple of bottles for Christmas. This one i asked for as from what i had read it was right up my street only more expensive than i usually spend on myself. Very nice it is too and i can definitely taste that its better than my usual stuff. Not 2 or 3 times better mind .

This next one was a surprise present and reading the label i looked forward to honey dipped brioche, morello cherry etc etc. Of course it's no surprise that i couldn't detect anything at all from the description but with a little water added it was delicious. I'll definitely get it again so looked it up and it seems to be around £17.50-£18.50 at lidl, a right bargain IMO

To be honest, it tastes like honey and lemon, with a kick. Nice, I think it’ll grow on me the further down the Largs portion I’ve poured

It’s named a Largs measure from the Scotchland tour - at a guesthouse in Largs…that was a double. They mustn’t make any money on the bar. And we started about 2pm
I got 3 bottles for Christmas and one is a 1l bottle. It's ok as a long drink with fiery ginger ale.Be careful, that’s nasty stuff!
