Bloody good show.

Genuinely puzzled though why you never offered this service for my 999, chiz. I'm a bit miffed, TBH.

Are you using an iPhone? If so, after you’ve taken the photo open it in photos, click ‘edit’ in top right corner and do any edit. Crop it slightly, just touch the magic wand icon, anything. Then save it. It will note be the right way up when you upload it here. I’ve no idea why this happens, just learned the hard way what’s to be done to stop it 😕

Not an iphone.. i have just looked at my gallery and pretty sure ive worked out how to sort it ..

Hmmm .. just checked out the date i started.
9 n a half weeks ago.. pretty slow as i reckon its been a bout 40 hours work so far. Still, bit quicker than the 2 years that the 748 took! Mind you, that had thousands of pounds spent on it, on a pay as i could afford basis..
This has had a few hundred kiwi so far.. mostly cleaning and painting.. well, i guess its had quite bit more spent as i had lots of bits already in stock ..
Im enjoying it though..

Bought a white board for the workshop so i can write bits i need down as i discover them, coz i forget stuff...

I dont forget b's boobs though ..
This reminds me of a time I had to remove 5 or 6 female mannequins from a high street shop in Leeds I had to store them in my house as I was selling them, thing is these were the really fit mannequins you know the ones that slow you down walking past shop windows, I had them all stood up in my garden to photograph all naked for the advert stopped people in their tracks walking past

Anyway i boxed all but one as I thought she would look good in the pool room now snooker room .. and she did in fact she got better the more I drank ….and then she got better …. You could move the arms about they definitely were removable but she was delightful

I can’t tell you anymore but needless to say I couldn’t look at myself or indeed talk to me for days after and been honest I’m not proud now.

So, small progress today..
A few weeks back the samco hoses and stator arrived from moto rapido.. unfortunately the bolts to fit stator rotor to flywheel were incorrect ( think i mentioned this elsewhere?) Anyhu, they sent out the correct ones, they arrived a few days ago..
Today i had a day off so i done a lil bit.
Fitted the stator to case , rotor to fly wheel and case to engine.. i had loosely fitted the hoses already but need a few more clamps which i picked up from the local stainless supplier this morning.. the clamps were like $1 each instead of the £4 samco want!! Side by side comparison, you couldnt tell the difference in the clamps..
Got a few more bolts for various things while i was there.
So picked up an oil filter, oil and coolant..
Ive only done a few hours work on it today but its getting there and i have most bits i need now i think..
Pics?
Check out the damage to the stator! I may have posted a pic of this before? Whatever, have another look!!!

Looks like the stator has been hit, was there a bearing gone?

See the damage to the paint on the alternator cover? I used acetone to clean the mating surfaces before applying the silicon gasket..
Not wanting to scratch the nice new paint on the alt cover, i laid it on a cloth whilst i fitted the stator and applied the sealant..
Great idea but i must have spilled some acetone on the cloth..
It dont seem to hurt the paint if just wiping down with it, but it seems if soaking in it, it does!!!
No biggy, just a bit of a pita...

It's a great solvent acetone. Did you know you need a license to buy it in the UK?
Version small quantities are license free.

Next up, i guess, is refit the manky forks..
Its breaking my heart as its not how i roll but i cant see a practical cheap solution and i simply dont have the disposable coin to splash out atm..
Im thinking, ( as much as it disgusts me!) Im just gunna have to fit em for now in order to move forward and deal with em at a later date...
So get them back on, then wiring, controls, airbox ect... if i was a normal person, i coukd probably have her fired up and rideable in 10 hours maybe?
Not gunna happen... i will make it hard work...

There might be some wealthy friends on this very forum who can gift you some forks which they have lying around?
