Been saying this for a while...Our Medical system is symptom focused vs root cause identification and treatment & and our foods are designed to support the medical system. The med system does not want to cure you, they want you coming back like any other business. You are a consumer not a patient.

The best way to avoid all of this is to grow, kill and process your own food. Alternatively, stay away from processed foods and fast food establishments . Sadly, restaurant food is not much better.

Was crazy to learn that the cigarette companies are running our food industry. Makes sense.
 
I gave up carbs 8 weeks ago, and since then, no potatoes, pasta, rice or bread.

I got sick of ordering shirts off E-Bay which were too tight, and I don't have access to Lord Alli.

I find it easy (which has shocked me), and if I'm needing a snack, I go and get a piece of cheese or a crabstick/piece of cooked meat from the fridge.

Fuck me, my shirts are now no longer straining to lose buttons, and my belt ( I wear the same one every day) has tightened by two notches.

I'm not a sweet/choc eater, as my wife eats enough for both of us, but I can eat fruit and nuts all day long (y)

Even my wife has noticed the weight loss (unless she's lying_)

Are you still eating the fruit & nuts ?
I`m gradually cutting down on carbs but I love salad , vegetables , fruit and nuts too so would struggle to cut those out .

The bag of chips and the bag of hash-browns I have in the freezer are the last I shall buy. Sweet potatoes all the way now.

I looked at seafood sticks today in the supermarket, two different brands.
I love those things. However, the list of ingredients (especially the ingredients that aren't from the sea) means they won't be a feature.

I'll be taking a good hard look at bread next. I have two slices of toast, every other day and I only buy bread that doesn't list seed oils as an ingredient. I'll see how I go after No Crackers-No Chips has been established.

Seafood sticks (surimi) are crap - loads of sugar...seed oils...starch.
