That does look nice & well made, should suit the bike perfectly .......................... if it ever gets finishedIt’s my snazzy light weight race alternator kit which supposedly gives a 6 BHP gainbut more importantly replicated the race bikes roughly welded together versions casing.
It also still works with a starter motor.

So at last, the first +20 deg C day is likely to be on Saturday so today I finished prepping the crank cases by keying the paint with 400 Wet & Dry. Then gave it a go with the airline to get rid of the dust. All that remains is a good wipe over with 100% Isopropanol wipes and it's all systems go - if the weather doesn't change........................

The crank cases are pretty good on all visual faces so will be having a light coat anyway, other unseen areas where the alloy is showing in small areas will have a dusting of etch primer and a light coat of black. All the engine cases are only there to mask and will be blasted and clear cerakoted... the engine number stamping is very deep too.Personally, I'd give the engine no. a very fine coat and then mask over it when you paint the casings.![]()
Tomorrow is tomorrowSo, how's the re-spray going ?
