I think a couple of participants are still in the market for a bike. Look at this on Ebay. Admittedly not the latest tech, fastest, best looking etc but quite possibly spot on for the job and worth considerably more than the asking price once MOT`d.
I have bought from this seller before, he gets the occasional interesting bike and its not far from me so I`ll happily give it the once over if anyone is interested. Please bear in mind I have no mechanical aptitude whatsoever so a once over from me would only establish that it exists.
The seller is open to offers too. Tempted to get in early for my next Winter Hack......

I called Derrin House but it was an answerphone message - they're closed until 24 Mar 23, so I've emailed them to reserve one of the twin rooms. I'll be seeing one of my riding pals in the next few days so will see if he wants to come (he's just upgraded his 2003 GS for a new one) if there's space.
Suppose I'd better buy a bike. I'm going to check out the Moto Guzzi V100 the weekend after next, then decide. There's a shortlist of 3;
Supersport S (favourite)
Moto Guzzi V100 (it'll need to be good to oust the Supersport)
Yam Tracer 9GT (outside choice...interested for the engine, and it's fully loaded)

. I’ve got all rooms in the Derrin in Larne reserved anyway, and in the Inishowen Gateway Hotel, Buncrana, for Sun night.
I’ve also got rooms sorted in Sligo for Mon night, Westport for Tues night.
Lahinch on Wed and Dingle on Thurs are tentatively booked, just waiting for confirmation but they’re closed until this coming weekend (Paddy’s Day).
Schull on the Friday night is giving me some issues as I completely overlooked the fact the Film Festival is on and everywhere is booked.
Never mind I have alternative options.

How did you find buffetting?
From what I've seen, it's an issue - probably best with a short screen to clean the airflow? (that's what I found on my Multis).
Thanks - I'm 5'10" too - but I did find it an issue on my Multis and tried a few different screens and settled for the Pikes Peak screen. There was more air but it was cleaner for me.
Pyramid Plastics do a short screen for the Yam if I go for one.
I don't think my mate will be coming, someone’s made him a better offer that involves him looking after their home in southern Spain for a couple of months.
I’m not 100% that I’m going to make it; aside from the wierdos and stranger danger, Mrs SHarper‘s in a bad way and is very dependent on me at the mo, I’m hoping the next month sees a significant improvement in her situation.
I had a butchers at one last Friday, they do it in a dark grey matt finish that I really like, I ought to have a test ride on one before I make the decision on my next steed. I’m having a day test riding at SMC tomorrow, the salesman said come down and take them all out, so I’m having a go on the V2 multistrada, the KTM 890 Duke and maybe a Monster; but I think I’m going to end up with a BMW XR9.
I’m also unsure of how to buy my next bike, I’m one for buying outright, but nearly everyone these days is getting bikes on PCP (is that right or is PCP a drug?) and are chopping and changing numerous times within their deal.

Your comment regarding PCP prompted me to have a look at the deal for a SFV4S.
Over 3 years the cost is £14143, that’s the deposit plus monthly payments!!
You then have to pay the £13400 final payment, give the bike back or start again.
Madness.
The numbers are too rich for me Noobs.
I’ve learnt a lot from our Larry about keeping the sporran firmly shut.
A couple more years and the 2nd hand SF’s will be in my range.. hopefully.
If I can't afford to buy it outright, I don't buy it.
I'd rather go without, and I don't need the latest thing in my life that much. My newest bike is now 5 years old.I used to have loans back in the day, but not for years now and I feel better for it. I've never had or been tempted by a PCP.
