TIL that scammers use their own adhesive printed QR codes to place over bona fide QR codes (esp' those in public places such as carpark pay stations) to send you to their own link to make payments.
In my view this is just not cricket.
If I were to catch a chap putting such a sticker in place I would pull the chap aside and give him a jolly good talking to.

If they are so honest, as they claim, then why does each side feel the need to appoint their own people? One person should sort for everyone if they were as honest as they claim.
