Took the car for a service last week. Noticed today that the service due warning was still on. Thought FFS have I got to drive 30 miles to the garage to get to reset, because I rely on it to remind me of oil change time. Rang him up and he said there is a procedure for resetting it yourself without plugging the car in.
I'd never have guessed it in a million years. Apparently, you have to switch on the ignition, open the bonnet and the driver's door, sit inside and hold the accelerator and brake pedal down together for one minute.
Switch off and start the engine and the service warning should be reset. It worked, but Landrovers are weird. Why not just have a reset button on the steering wheel??
