No I haven’t, I made it up. XI’ve got one.
You could cut the bottom off the velocity stack leaving only the threaded section and you would need to blank off under the screen. It would work but obvs damaging the velocity stack for life.I was thinking of getting one made up.![]()
I thought of that but no, i'll find the part somehow just a shame the company went bust as they did some great parts mainly in the exhaust department. The Two Brothers Racing website is still live but every part on there it says sold out. I think the reason it's still live is the possibility of being bailed out, who knows. You could cut the bottom off the velocity stack leaving only the threaded section and you would need to blank off under the screen. It would work but obvs damaging the velocity stack for life.
I guess the original came with both the velocity stack and blanking plate.Today it's nothing but heavy showers so down to the garage to give my air filter a clean on the Harley. It's a Two Brothers Racing air filter that has a Patent Pending on it.
The other problem is TBR have gone tits up so can't get one from them.
It's a clever bit of kit that was £600 for the unit but the problem i have is there is a blanking plate that i don't have!!
Mine is only using the velocity stack and not the filter.

The velocity stack screws into the main unit.

There is a screw in blanking plate that screws in instead of the velocity stack so your only using the K&N filter.

I've found one on ebay in the states but they don't ship to the UK.
As you can see that is the blanking plate.

Harleys aren’t everyone’s cup of tea but referring to Wayne’s love as Bile is a little harsh.I guess the original came with both the velocity stack and blanking plate.
Have you tried talking to the dealer you bought the bile from for the previous owners contact details to see if they fitted the filter and may have the original blanking plate in a box?, or know where that work was done?
If the dealer says they can't do this due to data privacy, see if they can contact the previous owner directly?
It's always a good feeling when you plan to carry out what you think is going to be a shit job & it turns out to go swimmingly !!Was dreading getting the airbox back on the ZXR - did it today, straight on with no issuesphew

Most engineering machine shops should be easily able to make something similar to blank that hole off, it's just the cost that would be hard to swollow !Today it's nothing but heavy showers so down to the garage to give my air filter a clean on the Harley. Fourth picture down in Wayne's post@WAYNE have you got a picture of the two brothers racing bit for sale in the states so we can see which is the part missing and what you need?
I already pointed out the magic qualities of duck tape, you're just going to confuse him nowMost engineering machine shops should be easily able to make something similar to blank that hole off, it's just the cost that would be hard to swollow !
Do you know if the thread is metric or as more likely, a UNF thread ?
You possibly could make two alloy plates that would sandwich either side of the hole, (if there's room inside) & have a few screws around the centre which would clamp the two halves in place, (screws on the outside obviously - just in case, it is a Harley & Loctite !!).
That could be something you could make yourself with a bit of alloy plate ?

I'll send them an email.ARH Custom are advertising that same air filter set-up & the picture shows that blanking plate/plug. Not sure if they have it in stock or if the blank is available as a separate item though. Might be worth ringing them & asking ?

You could make him one for a tenner - (just don't quote him a lead time ffsMost engineering machine shops should be easily able to make something similar to blank that hole off.....
Wayne could make his own for a few quid and get to eat the baked beans...You could make hime one for a tenner - (just don't quote him a lead time ffsbut get his money)

That photo has addressed a lot of unanswered questions about how those bikes work….Today it's nothing but heavy showers so down to the garage to give my air filter a clean on the Harley. It's a Two Brothers Racing air filter that has a Patent Pending on it.
