for a change an actual motorcycle related review , this is an Oxford roamer top box .. at 220 euro it was very reasonable for here and i got it for doing a trip with the wife next month as its bigger than the standard BMW one ... its a surprise on quality and finish its very good value for money.. it aluminium powder coated . I thought it was going to be plastic for the money

I was thinking of getting a GoPro or DJi Osmo to capture it because the crackles on overrun are very addictive.

Most of my european trips were with a 52 litre top box and an exapndable tank bag.
I wouldn't have a top box unless I was taking a pillion. Can't stand the look of them and on some bikes they can adversely affect handling when riding solo by disrupting airflow over the bike.
With the size of Exi's panniers I could make do with a large roll bag slung across the pillion seat/rear rack. If you pack them carefully so nothing hard is jabbing you in the back they can make a comfy back rest as well. Tank bags are great for small essentials - glasses, phone, pens, change, maps etc, and in my case a small tea flask. But I don't like the massive ones that make me feel hemmed in.
I wish more were fully waterproof though. My KTM tank bag is not waterproof and you have to fit a stupid shower cap rain cover over it. But it is ring-mounted and quick release which is handy for refuelling and security when you leave the bike. I have an Enduristan which is 100% waterproof, including the map window, but it's attached by a fiddly harness. Why more can't be waterproof and ring-mounted I don't know.

Used to see some complaining that the top box caused some front end shimmying when people took both of their hands off the bars whilst at speed.

When the Multi gets into triple figures it gets quite vibey It didn’t used to so maybe the top box or I need to rebalance the Wheels?
Are you doing three-figures on cobblestones? My suggestion is that you stop doing so.
That may be pertinent the state of our (private) roads is deplorable.
Today i had to pack two orders up for items i sold on ebay then up to the post office to send them. When i was in the post office i bumped into an old drinking mate of mine, it was funny as we both stood there looking at each other then the penny dropped!! Not seen him for about twenty years, he's been living in Thailand for 15 years and regrets coming back to the UK. He told me he got knocked off his bike by a muslim stone licker and yeah he some how got away with it (they own this country now and the police) he didn't get any compo!!
Anyway i went for a bit of a ride out but not far as my left foot is still hurting but nice to get out. From Wednesday onwards it's going back to rainy weather but at least it's going to be warm.

Went to work on my skateboard this morning....
Monday morning and it was like a scene from 28 days later....2 1/2 mile skate to work.....i saw no more than 6 people and about a dozen cars. Congrats to the greens running the council...youve succeeded - the place is now a tarmac and paved ghost town.
